πŸ”Š Sound and voice data

Multi Flashcard uses your phone’s built-in text-to-speech engine. If one language has no sound, the voice package for that language may not be installed yet.

Simple fix on Android:
Open your phone Settings and search for Install voice data. Then download the voice for the language you want, such as Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish or French.

Full Android path

Settings β†’ Text-to-speech β†’ Preferred engine β†’ Google Speech Services β†’ Install voice data

Some Samsung or Android phones use a different menu name. Searching for Install voice data in Settings is usually the fastest way.

πŸ–Ό Images and highlights

Highlight important word
You can highlight a key word inside a sentence. Choose the word, color, size, font and style such as bold or underline.
Categories
Use categories like Travel, Restaurant, Work, Emergency or Daily life to filter your cards later.

πŸ“€ Share cards

Use Share to send a card to another user or to yourself. This is useful when you create useful sentence sets and want to reuse them later.

πŸ’Ύ Backup, export and import

Backup is important if you add your own words or use the app on more than one device.

Export JSON
Save your words as a backup file.
Import JSON
Restore or add words from a backup file.
Before resetting your phone or reinstalling the app, always export a backup first.

πŸ“₯ Import replace
Replaces the current pack completely with the imported backup.
⚠️ Use carefully: Replace will remove the current words in that language pack.
πŸ“€ Backup / Export button
Creates a backup file of your saved words and sentences. It is strongly recommended to regularly create backups of your language packs, especially before:
  • reinstalling the app
  • changing phones
  • testing new versions
  • clearing app data
This helps protect your learning progress.
πŸ—‘ Delete button
Delete selected words or multiple saved items at once.
β˜‘οΈ Checkbox

πŸ” Search bar
Quickly search through saved vocabulary and sentences.

πŸ’‘ Tip
Each language pack has its own:
  • words
  • categories
  • statistics
  • backup data
Example: Dutch β†’ French is completely separate from English β†’ German.
⚠️ Important
Always keep at least one recent backup of your vocabulary. If the app is removed, phone storage is cleared, or data becomes corrupted, your backup can restore everything quickly.

πŸ”“ Unlock pack

Free demo cards let you test a language pair. Unlocking a pack is intended for users who want to add more custom content and use the pack without the free demo limit.

πŸ›  Troubleshooting

No sound for one language
Install the voice data for that language from Android Settings.
Pack shows 0 cards
Open Packs, delete the empty pack and add the demo package again.
Old version still visible
Close the app completely and reopen it. If needed, clear the browser/app cache after a new update.
Translation is not perfect
Edit the card manually. Automatic translation is only a helper.

❀️ About this project

Multi Flashcard was independently built during more than 6 months of development in May 2026 by Peiman D. Rad.

The goal of this project is to make language learning simpler, more personal and more practical for everyday life, travel and living in another country.

Special thanks to my wife, who supported me like a mountain throughout this journey and never stopped believing in our future.

And to my children, Amir and Ailin, who are our pride and motivation every day. ❀️
